M1 Noise Blanker Prototyping: Here short video of the prototype noise blanker for the M1. The design uses a separate noise receiver and fast comparator to switch a schottky diode NB gate. The powerline noise today is typical for Adelaide with the windy dry conditions making it impossible to hear anything on HF. Signals are unreadable on the modern DSP Transceivers here as the noise is just too broad, but some reduction is noticeable on the old Yaesu FT101ZD and Kenwood TS930.
