Have you ever noticed that your dog seems to react strangely to certain people? It’s not uncommon for dog owners to notice that their dogs don’t like particular people, although sometimes it’s unclear why. Your perfectly well-behaved dog can suddenly start barking angrily at a stranger, or refuse to...
I trust my dog's opinion :)
Many times I believe they mirror our true feelings -- we just don't realize it... humans tend to hide or ignore what we feel when we meet people. People don't always do the same when they meet a dog and DONT hide how they feel about the dog at your side. Thus creating a strange, sometimes confusing, mix of emotions between the dogs and people.
Not always is this 100% reliable though. A friend had a toy poodle who hated my guts for 2 years, barked at me furiously, showed teeth and clearly thought I was the pits. Up to this day, we don't know why she would do this, while she would bring her toys and try to play with someone who definitely hated dogs, he always grew angry when she would try to win him over. I never kicked her, hurt her in any way, wasn't afraid of her, yelled at her...but she hated me. Then, out of the blue one day, she dropped on her back in front of me, wanting a belly rub. My friend said to pet her and I very much doubted his sanity, having no desire to get bitten. She didn't bite, in fact, it was as if someone had turned a switch, it was a complete change of mind. She wore the name Sassy for a good reason, I guess. 😉

Stop recreating that which you can’t stand. Make different choices, be true to your feelings, live in the present and look to the future instead of allowing yourself to be dragged back to the past.
