With summer almost upon us, water parks across the world will be filling up with children and adults looking for a fun way to cool down on a hot day. And thanks to this incredible new water park called Morgan's Inspiration Island in San Antonio, Texas, people with disabilities can also join the fun!
The world’s first water park for people with disabilities has just opened, and it’s the best thing ever:
Saw something about this recently. I remember they specified they don't want it to be pegged as a water park for disabled people. It's for everyone it's accessible to disabled people.
This makes me so happy. My father was an aerospace engineer, and he designed a flotation device prototype for my Aunt who has severe Cerebral Palsey so she could safely enjoy swimming in our pool with us! My mother told him to share it with others because it helped her have so much fun☺.
As a disabled person I wonder if they keep the water cleaner than at regular parks. I've always wanted to go to one but I barely have an immune system. It's all fun and games until someone gets leprosy...the wet kind.
