#FlashbackFriday - Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean, 1985.

I'll tell you a story...Colm was my first Valjean. I had been out walking in London all day, I had heavy walking boots on, was wet and probably a bit smelly! I managed to get a return and my seat was next to this older lady in full evening kit. She looked at me as if I was going to infect her with something nasty! By the end of Bring Him Home, we were sharing tissues and tears and chocolates !
Colm Wilkinson...My favorite Valjean...but Hugh Jackman is a VERY close second.
Barbara, let me get my calculator....how many times have you seen it, on Broadway no less???
"- What d'ya think you're at hanging round me pitch? If you're new around here, girl, you've got a lot to learn. - Listen, you old bat. Crazy bloody witch. Least I give me customers some pleasure in return. - I know what you give! Give 'me all the pox! Spread around your poison 'till they end up in a box! - Leave the poor old cow. Move it, Madeleine. She used to be no better till the clap got to her brain. - When's it gonna end? When we gonna live? Something's gotta happen now, or something's gonna give. It'll come. It'll come. It'll come. It'll come."
"At vthe end of the day..."
BuzzFeed UK News: West End producers are giving West Yorkshire kids the opportunity to perform Les Misérables, in the memory of murdered MP Jo Cox.
"I was just in Toulon yesterday and I kept on raving to my husband about how Jean Valjean was a slave here. He was like, errrr. he is a fictional character, right? NOPE. Well yep, but still. He is Jean Valjean!!!!"
