I love my Chevrolet Traverse, I upgraded from the Equinox and I also loved the easily handling of the Equinox, but the Traverse is so much more roomier and I have all the perks.. It is my favorite Chevy I have owned, other than my '98 Monte Carlo.. Chevy is the best for me!
We have a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse that has had one problem after another. We've had at least 5 recalls. Last year our timing chains had to be replaced at approx 67,000 miles. This past Sunday (yes, on Easter), our engine died. My husband drove 3 miles to pickup our daughter and come back. It was parked for 2 hours before we went to leave. It started, but died as he went to backup. GM customer Care has done nothing but give me a pleasant and understanding person to vent to. Since our vehicle is more than 6 years old they won't cover it in any way. It has 82,000 miles on it currently. We had our trusted mechanic diagnose it. Chevy customer care along with our local Chevy service center insisted that they had to diagnose it themselves in order to consider doing anything. We paid to tow it there (this was our second tow). They called me and told me the engine was dead (as I already knew), and to find out why I'd have to pay $300-$600 for them to get in there and take it apart. Even then if it was the 13 month old timing chains, they wouldn't do anything because of their 12 month warranty. GM and the dealership neither one seem concerned about this issue. Look it up. One of the biggest complaints on 2010-2011 traverse is engine failure. But nobody seems to care about this failure. In the meantime I'm out at least $6500 for a new engine.
I have seen Vickies car and it looks just like the one in the picture . I dont know why she keeps all that junk in the back . L O L
