This is how Chase scams money from the disabled. My mother is in a memory care facility. A Superior Court judge has granted myself, brother and sister conservatorship. When I first took the court documents to chase to change mom's account they told me I would need original court documents. I thought that particular branch were just being jerks so I tried another, same thing. So I tried a branch were I know the manager, same thing. Each time they said their legal department wanted originals.
So I petitioned the court, paid a fee and had the court prepare and issue originals. Took those to the branch at Ina and Thorydale in Tucson. Guess what, they refused them too. They said their legal department said the papers didn't mean anything and then The manager accused me of forging the documents.
Come to find out the legal department DID NOT have a lawyer on staff when this was all going on. Found out today that the department isn't even staffed with paralegals. So they have people without authority to practice law, practicing law. (For which I will be reporting them to the Bar of the 2 states their legal operates out of and maybe here in Arizona too.)
So I'm thinking this is nothing more than a scam. When their clients have the bad luck of falling ill and their family seeks legal means to look after that persons finances, Chase just denies so late charges and penalties can stack up or until the family just gives up and Chase just keeps any money in their accounts.
How else can one explain Chase refusing a court order? I will be filing charges and complaints with the Bars, Comptrollers and Corporation Commissions of the shots that apply. But that is no protection for you and your families. Chase could do that same thing to you if bad luck befalls you or yours. Don't take a chance on this bank doing the wright thing. Personally I'm moving my LLC and personal accounts elsewhere.
I had fraud on a savings account I've had with Chase for 10 years. This is an account that does not have a debit card and has never been used for online purchases. It was used ONLY through Chase bank directly. Somehow someone was able to pull out a large sum of money. Chase bank doesn't know who the person was and can't give me any information on it. They told me I would have my refund the same day I made the claim. Next day came, no refund and they told me 3-5 days because they had a computer error. The computer error is because I closed my savings account like they asked otherwise they would not be responsible for any more fraud on that account. They told me I needed to close it immediately. I asked them if I should wait til my money was deposited back and I was told that they will just put it in my other account no problems. Not sure why their computer error is my problem but we are going on the third week and every time I call they say they have tried to put the money back and because of the computer error from three weeks ago they have to manually do it and then they promise me another date the money will be in by. Every time I call I can barely understand the person on the phone and they are nothing but rude. How many lies do I have to listen to from the bank before someone just does their job? I have read a lot of similar complaints. Clearly you have a security issue with your bank besides the obvious customer service problems. I had a problem with an account at Bank of America and they fixed it immediately WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT!
