'He has done very, very well'


Lukasz Fabianski has saluted Carlos Carvalhal as Swansea City look to continue their unbeaten run against their manager’s former club this weekend.

The Swans head to Sheffield Wednesday in round five of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.

That means a swift return to South Yorkshire for Carvalhal, who spent two-and-a-half happy years at Hillsborough.

Carvalhal left his role as Owls boss just days before taking charge at the Liberty Stadium.

And the man who twice led Wednesday into the Championship play-offs has made a spectacular impact in the Premier League.

'He has done very, very well'

Carvalhal has lost just one of his 11 games as Swans boss – and Fabianski has been impressed by the manager’s approach.

“What I like about him is that he is very positive,” the Swans goalkeeper said.

“He spreads a good energy around...

"He spreads a good energy around the club. When he talks he is very confident, whether it’s about tactics or the mental approach to the game.”
